Street Parking in Georgetown
Street parking is available from Monday to Saturday from 7 am to 10 pm for $2 per hour. Note that Sundays and holidays are free! If you are parking in a residential area, there is a limit of parking for 2 hours at a time in a single spot. Residents of the community should get a Zone 2 Parking Permit. Street Parking Restrictions
Be sure to not park on M Street and the 1100-1600 blocks of Wisconsin Avenue, N.W., from 7 to 9:30 am and 4 to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday. Be sure to read all parking signs before leaving your car to avoid ticketing!

Since this spot is popular amongst both locals and tourists, street parking can be challenging to find. Look for meter parking of K and Water Streets, N.W.

This tranquil landscape offers two-hour street parking (unlimited time on Sundays) off R street or Whitehaven. If street parking is taken, you can reserve a space at a garage closer to Georgetown’s central and walk about half a mile.
Other Transportation Methods
If you find yourself in Georgetown without a car, not a problem! There are public transportation options available to get around the town. Note that the metro doesn’t come into Georgetown directly, but they can drop you off close by at Foggy Bottom or Rosslyn, VA. You can also use a bike-sharing service around Georgetown with Capital Bikeshare! With bike kiosks scattered around the city, you can pick up and drop off your bike as you please.
