Street Parking in Georgetown  

Street parking is available from Monday to Saturday from 7 am to 10 pm for $2 per hour. There is no charge on Sundays and holidays.

Closest Paid Parking: 3205 Water St NW, Washington, DC 20007

Since this spot is popular amongst both locals and tourists, street parking can be challenging to find. Look for meter parking of K and Water Streets, N.W.  

Parking garages may be your best bet on weekends and event days. Reserve parking close to the Waterfront at the following places:

Visitor Parking Rates

Hourly: $5.00
Daily Parking: $25.00
Daily Parking after 3 pm: $15.00
Daily Parking after 7 pm: $10.00
All students after 4:30 pm: $5.00 (Must have GU student ID)

Other Transportation Methods


If you find yourself in Georgetown without a car, not a problem! There are public transportation options available to get around the town. Note that the metro doesn’t come into Georgetown directly, but they can drop you off close by at Foggy Bottom or Rosslyn, VA. You can also use a bike-sharing service around Georgetown with Capital Bikeshare! With bike kiosks scattered around the city, you can pick up and drop off your bike as you please.
